"Nrusimha", Half lion half man avatar is the 4th incarnation of the God Vishnu. The Nrusimha is always shown with a lion face with half man with clawed fingers fused within the body of Hiranyakashipu.

Temple at Puttakonda is most famous historic temple of God Sri Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy in Andhra Pradesh as well as in India. The temple is located at river ‘Tulyabaga’ one of the branch of river Godavari and very beautiful pilgrimage place to visit near Kakinada(AP). In this Puttakonda kshetram, Sri Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy emerged as the self-incarnation and first appeared to sage Sri Valmiki Maharishi.

Here one ofthe most important festival is the Rathotsavam on Bhimma Ekadashi. Thirumanjana Kaimkaryam (Ahishekam) to Moolavar (original diety) is a special feature of this Kshetram on Pancha Parva days in every month.
